East Rural Ward Solution Meetings

Introduction

Ward Solutions Meetings have been set up as part of the Council’s drive to improve community engagement at Ward Level, to consolidate good practic and make sure the Council and our partners had a consistent approach across the Borough.

Their purpose is to:

• involve residents in neighbourhood problem solving
• support ward Councillors in their role as local leaders
• tell residents about important community initiatives

Also, Ward Solutions Meetings can help with more positive activities – like support for new community groups, clean ups and fun days.

Above all the Ward Solutions Meetings need to be action based and deliberate. Residents need to see results from their involvement, and to know that their Councillor is getting things done, with them and on their behalf.
